2 Workin Oz is located near the historical townsite of York in Western Australia’s Avon Valley. The training farm facility is located near the settlement of Greenhills, east of York townsite. All appointments and training opportunities with 2 Workin Oz are by appointment only.
York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia, being situated approximately 97 kilometres by road east of Perth in the Avon Valley, which is one of the most fertile sections of the State. The first settlers in the district reached the valley in 1831.
The Shire of York has an abundance of attractions for all ages and abilities. Sites worth visiting during your stay include; Mt Brown Lookout, York Town Hall, Swinging Bridge, Old Courthouse and Gaol, Residency Museum and the Old Sandalwood Yards and Tipperary School Museum. There are also seasonal interests such as yellow fields of canola in spring, wildflowers and orchids in late winter and spring and a number of festivals hosted throughout the year including art, motorcycle and car festivals.
There are several different accommodation options around York, with a daily bus running from Perth and a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the townsite itself and surrounding areas.
