2020 Farm Harvest Skills and Heavy Machinery Program

In partnership with our industry sponsors, the Grain Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA) and Careers in Grain, the 2020 Farm Harvest Skills and Heavy Machinery Program offered through 2 Workin Oz will be offering 36 partial scholarships for our four-day program.

These scholarships have been developed to encourage Western Australians to secure work in Agriculture in rural locations, and to help meet current shortfalls in employment for the upcoming harvest season.

Thirty-six partial 75% scholarships are being offered, valued at $712.00 each, thanks to funding from GIWA and Careers in Grain. Scholarships are now open and we encourage applicants to apply today!

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their commitment to working in agriculture for the upcoming harvest season, demonstrated through a Statement of Intent explaining why you want to work in the industry.

Successful applicants will be required to pay the remaining 25% course fee ($237.00) to complete the course. The four-day course includes all meals, accommodation on-farm (Mon-Thurs), large machinery and livestock training and access to 2 Workin Oz’ recruitment services. This program is to provide immediate practical and hands-on short course (non-accredited) training opportunities for unskilled seasonal workers currently residing in Western Australia, in time for the 2020 grain harvest.

Applicants can be from Western Australia or WHV holders, provided they meet all required criteria.
