A seeding machinery operator role for a family farm based in Wyalkatchem in the Central Wheatbelt.
The Farm
The farm is 5600ha total with 5200ha cropped annually, with no livestock managed on the property. Crop varieties include wheat, barley and lupins.
The property includes a fully maintained workshop with air-conditioning and insulation service pit, with a full complement of tools 26m × 24m fully enclosed.
All JD new machines. Clean, tidy open paddocks. 3000 tonne grain storage facility 1km from Wyalkatchem.
Main job description
The role is for a seeding casual, but for the right applicant it could turn into a full-time role. Equipment used for the upcoming seeding season includes:
- 9570 JD Tractor
- 60 Ft DBS with 28000 ltr Multistream Air cart
- 2 x JD Sp Sprayers 1 with Camera technology. Both to be delivered September 2023
- Transtar with Tornado trailer and 10,000L UAN pig trailer
For the right applicant, full time work would include:
- Spraying
- Seeding
- Spreading
- Harvest
Skills you need
- Driver’s license required
- Non-smoking preferred
- Strong work ethic
- Experience with machinery operation
