This family farming business is looking for a full-time general farm hand to join their team.
The main role will be management of general farm duties, with experience preferred for cropping and harvest duties.
The role will also include sheep work and experience would be an advantage if applying for the role.

Start date has some flexibility to accommodate the successful applicant up to the end of January 2024.

The farm
The farm is approximately 3000 hectares, with 2433 hectares being cropped.
Main crops produced are Canola, Barley, Oats and Export hay production.
The business manages approximately 4000 mixed age merino sheep.
Main job description
The start date for the full-time position is negotiable, however, the successful candidate will need to start by end of January 2024.
The position is responsible for several roles including but not limited to:
- Cropping duties such as: Seeding, Spraying, Spreading, Harvest Preparation, Hay Making, Harvest and Hay Carting.
- Livestock management and Fencing.
- General maintenance of equipment.
- Other farm duties as required.
Skills you need
- Applicants will need to have a driver’s license and their own vehicle for personal use.
- Experience in all facets of a mixed farm or willingness to learn.
- Non- Smoking.
- Trade skills and MC truck licence would be advantage.
- Honest, committed, reliable person.
What are your rewards
Working conditions will include: 45hr week – 5 days x 9hrs. Some Saturday work during busy periods, no Sunday work.
Remuneration is $35/hr plus accommodation, work ute negotiable.
Accommodation is a 4 x 1 farm house, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. Formal lounge and extra dining room. Fully airconditioned. Swimming pool, outdoor living area, garden and lawns reticulated.
