2x Seeding Machinery Operators – Bruce Rock (ref #22393)

2x Seeding Drivers are required on this Bruce Rock farm from 1st of April through to 31st of May. Further work may be available for suitable candidates.

The roles are based with a small family farming business consisting of a husband-and-wife team and 2 sons. Flexible working hours, modern comfortable machinery and great accommodation is provided.

The farm

The property is a 4500ha cropping farm located 7km West of Bruce Rock. Crops grown include Wheat, Barley, Canola and Lupins.

Main job description

The seeding operators will be required from the 1st of April through to 31st May.
Machinery used for seeding includes: 2018 FWA Case Magnum 380 pulling a 2022 19,500L Multistream air cart and a 13.2m 2010 DBS seeding bar.
2013 Case Patriot Self Propelled Sprayer, 1998 Volvo Prime Mover Pulling a 2024 Pheonix/Transtruct Belly Dumper.

For suitable candidates post seeding work may include Post seeding –

• Spreading Urea using a 2018 FWA Case Magnum 380 Pulling a 2016 Bredal Spreader (10t Urea Capacity),
• Clean down of seeding machinery,
• Rock picking using a 2018 FWA Case Magnum 380 pulling a 2023 Highline Rock Picker.
• Spraying Fire Breaks in a 2012 Holden Rodeo.

Skills you need

• Applicants will need to have a driver’s license.
• Non Smoking/Vaping.
• Ability to work independently and not hesitant to ask questions.

What are your rewards

Starting rate is $30 hr to $40 per hour, depending on experience. This will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
A work vehicle is available for use during seeding.

Self-contained donga on farm, queen bed, living area with smart TV, fully functioning kitchen, bathroom with laundry facilities.

If required, access to a self-contained donga 8km from main homestead, 2 bedrooms each with ensuite, communal living area and kitchen.

The surrounding community

The farm is located close to the town of Bruce Rock (7kms) which has a new (2023) supermarket with a great range of produce. There is also a pharmacy, post office, roadhouse, pub, food van most nights, district club. A fantastic pool is open in town in the summer months, local sporting clubs of hockey, football, tennis, squash, cricket and netball are all available.

The larger town of Merredin located 50kms away with a larger supermarket, bakery etc.
