The owners are looking for a potential full-time employee who will start as a Chaser Bin Driver for harvest this season before starting as a full-time farmhand should they be the right fit.

The Farm

3000 Ha Property (owned & Leased) cropping 1600 Ha Wheat, Barley, Canola, Lupins, Oats and Clover.
4500 Sheep with Crossbreds and Self Replacing Merinos Flocks.
Sub-Terranean Clover Seed Harvesting.

Harvest runs from mid November to Late December.
Machinery for harvest includes a New Holland CR8.90 & 45 Foot Front, Chaser Bin With New Holland 8970 and 18T Chaser and Truck Carting is with a Kenworth K100G Road Train. Travel is around 50Km to local Grain Bin.

Details of interest

The business is looking for someone who may stay on after harvest and be a full-time part of the team. Work throughout the year requires someone with strong mechanical skills and boiler making skills as they manage most repairs onsite themselves.

Other roles would include:

• Spreading during March and June/July with New Holland 8970 and Marshall Multi Spreader.
  Sheep work when required; Shearing in March & Crutching in September.
• Lamb Marking in June/July.
• Drenching 6 weeks before lambing and when needed.
• Weighing lambs in springtime.
• Land care work when possible with 20T excavator (for salinity reasons, tree planting, fencing).

Skills you need

– Non smoking and strong anti drug policy.
– Strong Mechanical skills a must.
– Willing to learn and good attitude.
– A driver’s license is essential.
