Experienced seeder drivers x2 – Cuballing (Townsendale) (ref #16209)

2 Workin Oz Recruiting

Job Overview

This farming business is seeking 2 experienced seeder drivers. The roles will start 1st April and run through until the middle of May.

The Farm

The business manages an 8000 arable hectare mixed farm; cropping 6000ha & mating 8000 merino ewes on improved pastures.
Cropping is predominantly oats & canola with smaller areas of barley and wheat.
The farm consists of 4 separated blocks that are within 8km of each other, adjoining the Cuballing townsite and stretching as far as 25km away.

The Cuballing townsite is central to our farm. 1/3 of the paddocks are between 2 & 10km from this house and the furthest block is within 25km.

A team of 4 full time staff manage the property, who are all keenly motivated to get seasonal jobs completed efficiently and on-time. The whole team makes sure all jobs are carried out to a high standard, on time. Very rarely will you be left to do a days work by yourself because the business thrives on productivity gains of working together.

The farm property will test an operators skills. The rocky, hilly country east of Narrogin and Cuballing will have you planning a paddocks work direction to maintain good productivity, ducking around rocks and behind ridges of trees and water ways. To balance that there is also 3000ha of easy going, long runs where you will get a chance to have a break and enjoy the flow while using auto steer continuously. The massive upside to farming this broken up country is the higher yields. Granite rocks are sign of good soil types with higher clay content & better water holding capacity. Should you be around at harvest it is rewarding to see your efforts pay off in some excellent yields in these areas.
