Job Overview
A seeding operator is required for a mid-March start for this small family business.
The successful applicant will work alongside both another worker and the business owners providing an opportunity for someone to further their skills.
There is an opportunity to be trained in boom spray operation, truck driving and the owners genuinely like to engage and involve their employees in the day to day running of the farm.
The farm
The opportunity is on a 5000 hectare property located in the Shire of Ballidu.
The business manages both cropping and sheep. With wheat, barley and canola the main crops.
Main job description
Starting date will be in mid-March in preparation for seeding.
Main machinery to be operated is a Case tractor with Multi Stream tank and 50 ft DBS bar.
Skills you need
- Applicants will need to have a driver’s license and their own vehicle for personal use.

What are your rewards
Starting rate is $30 hr to $40 per hour, depending on experience. This will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
A work vehicle is available for use during seeding.
Accommodation available: 4 bedroom house, self-contained, incudes air con and heating etc. Accommodation will be shared with 1 other male casual worker.
During seeding meals will be provided.

The property is located 18 km from Ballidu. The local town has a pub [very social with a great friendly atmosphere] , post office etc.
The property is also located 50 km from 2 big rural towns which have an IGA grocery store, doctor, cafes etc.
