Job Overview
This small family operated farming business is looking for a full-time general farm hand to join their team.
The main role will be management of general farm duties, with experience preferred for cropping and harvest duties.
The business will offer flexible working hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant and manages a fleet of quality machinery on the farm.
The farm
The farm is approximately 4400ha owned and leased, located close to Perth in the Shire of Brokton.
The business crops 2600ha wheat, barley, oats, canola, lupins.
They also run 2000 merino ewes.
Main job description
The start date for the full-time position is negotiable, however, the successful candidate will ideally start as soon as possible.
The position is responsible for several roles including but not limited to:
- Cropping duties
- Livestock management – including drenching
- Feeding silage to sheep
- Fencing
- General maintenance of equipment
- Other farm duties as required
Skills you need
- Applicants will need to have a driver’s license and their own vehicle for personal use.
- Experience in all facets of a mixed farm or willingness to learn.
- Non- Smoking/vaping
- HR or HC truck licence
- Be able to work independently
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and passionate about the job
What are your rewards
Minimum $30/hr – to be negotiated with successful applicants and dependant on experience and skills.
Flexible working hours.
Weekends off, except during seeding.
Accommodation available includes: a 4 bedroom house as well as a 1 bed self-contained donga.

The local community provides excellent sports facilities. There is a local primary school accessed by bus services should they be required.
