The property is 14,000 Hectare, of which 8,500 Hectare is cropped with oats, barley, wheat & vetch.

The business also manages a Merino, Poll Merino & White Suffolk Stud.

Main job description

The role is for 1 x general farm hand with an immediate start.

• Seeding and Harvest driver (experience required)
• Spraying experience (desired)
• Basic all-round farming skills
• Sound sheep work skills
• Filling ram feeders with chaser bin.
• Pre and post season workshop.
• Preference for commitment of at least 12 months.

• Non-smoker preferred.
• Mechanically minded.
• Positive attitude and respectful behaviour.
• Honest and reliable with good work ethic.
• Happy to ‘camp out’ at leased farms in shared accommodation during seeding and harvest. (Lease blocks currently 70km and 120km from main farm).

What are your rewards

Negotiable depending on experience starting from $30/hr with additional benefits including accommodation and vehicle included for work related travel (including for travel to and from accommodation).

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with 1hr lunch break.
Longer hours during seeding and harvest – Monday to Saturday with Sundays off.

Accommodation options available including a generous brick and tile 3×1 (+2 WCs) with patio and garage.

Kulin (30km) has main facilities, sporting clubs, pool (with large slide), café, shop.
Lake Grace (65km) has above plus chemist and hospital.
Narrogin (94km) is the main regional centre with all amenities.

A personal vehicle would be helpful as the main location is 30km to the nearest town of Kulin.
