This family farming business requires one general farm hand to start prior to seeding. Ideally beginning of April, however, can be flexible for the right applicant.
The owners take pride in their farming business and want the right applicant to compliment their family structure. Staff will need to work with multiple generations and be able to communicate well with all members of the team.
The owners work hard to keep the farm and machinery well maintained and want someone who will take pride in their work.
The farm is a family run operation being run by the same family since 1964.
The property is 2680Ha + 400ha Lease.
2000Ha of that is cropped, on a rotation of Wheat, Barley, Lupins and Canola.
The farm also runs 1200 ewes, with approximately 2500 sheep on the farm.

General Farmhand duties will include machinery operation for seeding and harvest, livestock handling and general farm duties such as fencing, maintenance of machines and other maintenance roles as required.
The owners are flexible with hours worked during the off seasons (not seeding and harvest) and are willing to negotiate flexi time with the right employee.
Seeding starts in late April and is a six-week program.
During seeding they operate a John Deere 9570 / New Holland T8.410 + Morris Quantum Seeding bar.
Skills you need
- Prefer non-smoker.
- Employee must have good attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
- Although we will employ for full time, we currently we need staff for approximately .75 full time, and we are willing to negotiate flexi time and extended leave if that suits an employee.
- Driver’s license and own vehicle required.

Wages are dependent on the applicant’s experience.
Above award wages. Willing to negotiate casual, part or full time.
Accommodation is a two-bedroom cottage on farm with a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen.
Some meals may be provided depending on shift lengths, consecutive days worked etc. Open to negotiation.

The farm is approx 45km from both Wongan Hills and Moora and employees can take advantage of their resources including supermarkets, pools, and Cultural Centre. The local area has vibrant Golf & Tennis Clubs (Yerecoin), Football, Hockey and Netball (Calingiri) and employees are encouraged to join these clubs if they want to.
The Yerecoin Markets are an annual event that brings the local community together.
Yerecoin Traders also has a general store and post office & offer breakfast and lunch meals.
