A well-established hay business is seeking skilled operators for mowers, balers, rakes, telehandlers, and bale wrappers. You’ll be part of a team working across the stunning Great Southern region, from Lake Grace to Albany—an excellent chance to explore the countryside while earning a wage.
Roles involve operating modern, well-maintained machinery across various locations, with work based on the road throughout the season.
The Business
The roles are with a contracting business focusing on Silage, Hay & Straw. They service the wheatbelt and great southern region, servicing around forty clients that grow oats and grass for stockfeed.
Main job description
Hay harvest starts late August and runs through September and October. The roles will be busy in Silage and Hay over into straw until January, or longer, depending on the season. These roles will be for the duration, August-December/January.

Skills you need
- Driver’s license required
- Non-Smoker preferred
- Dedicated, hardworking
- Needs good communication skills
- Works well in at team
- Willing to ask for help or extra support if unsure of a task
- Willingness to learn with the right attitude
- Fluent English
- Some experience or knowledge in agriculture preferred
- Machinery experience preferred
What are your rewards
Wages are dependent on experience and skill level. Wages vary from $30 for general tractor operator up to $40 for an experienced baler operator.
Locations vary from Lake Grace through to Albany depending on contract locations. Accommodation is included and will vary depending on location.
