Job Overview

A new and exciting opportunity exists for a Livestock  person who is  experienced or keen to gain experience working on a Large Commercial Merino sheep and Cropping Farm in the Eastern wheatbelt of Western Australia.

Total Flock size is  approximately 32,000 sheep managed across approximately 35,000 Hectares

Production focus is on Wool and prime Lambs.  The annual calendar of major events in the sheep management program is roughly, Shearing in March, Lambing in July and Lamb Marking in August, with Crutching in November.

Other care and nutrition tasks are required daily along with a commitment to general maintenance of facilities and water points, fences etc.

This role requires a genuine interest in Livestock management and health. There are fantastic opportunities within this business for personal and professional development and opportunity for leadership roles.

A  commitment of 1-2 years minimum is preferred but all applicants are welcome to discuss their availability and time commitment to the role.

Applicants must have a manual drivers licence and their own Vehicle for personal use.  Accommodation can be provided as part of the work package and a vehicle for work will be available.

Wages are in line with experience and paid on an hourly rate with over time penalty rates.

There is work for couples if  both are seeking farm work.

This role can be filled by Australian Residents or International applicants with work rights ( WHV applicants your Visa would allow you to stay on this farm for up to 3 years)
