Machinery Operator – Eneabba (ref #7561)

This family run farm offers diversity in farm experience and flexibility in the workplace. The owners encourage employees to be involved in the local community through sport and recreation and network with other community members in the area.

Required from mid-February the role will involve operating spreader, loader/telehandler and then onto the seeding programme on both airseeders.

Seasonal staff will join the business mid-February if available, to complete inductions and steadily work into the farm operations.

The Farm

The role is based on a sheep and wheat farm. The farm is 5250 hectares total, comprising 4000 hectares cropped to lupins, wheat and canola.

The business also manages a breeding merino ewe flock of 2500.

Main job description

Required from mid-February the role will involve operating spreader, loader/telehandler and then onto the seeding programme on both airseeders.

General servicing and maintenance of machines is expected along with clean down at the end of seeding. Deep ripping, rock rolling along with occasional sheep work when needed.

The business may have work for two people or a couple with tractor driving experience for seeding through till the end of July/August.

A harvest position may be available if candidates are suitable and keen to stay on.

What are your rewards

$35-$40/hr depending on experience and skill. All utilities provided and a fuel allowance.

Self-contained donga style accommodation.

Meals will be supplied for seeding.

The surrounding community

Tennis, Bowls, Football, Netball and Hockey are played in the local towns of Eneabba and Three Springs which are 25-30 minutes drive. It is a short 45 minute drive to the beach in Dongara for a swim or to relax at many local restaurants.
