This opportunity is a great way to see the agricultural grain growing regions of Western Australia, whilst learning about the science behind grain and ag chem development.
The business is located close to Perth, in York, and travels to various locations to the north, east and south of the state.
There is a variety of roles and skills that will be learnt whilst working with the team and potential for work post seeding for the right person.
The Business
This business provides contract research and agronomic consulting to a range of agribusinesses in the Western Australian wheatbelt
Services include Agronomic consulting, Farmer driven research programs, Group extension, Paddock benchmarking and Project management.
This role would see you work extensively with farmers, agribusiness, research institutions and government departments throughout Western Australia.
Details of interest
- Seeding starts late March and continues until late June.
- The role would require extensive travel throughout the Western Australia grain growing regions.
- Seeding is completed using a variety of tractors and small plot seeders.
- Pre-seeding work may include grain management and prep work based in York, WA.
- Spraying and assessment work may be available post seeding for the right team member.

There are plenty of hours available and days during seeding will be long.
