We are grain farmers situated 400kms SE of Perth between Newdegate and Lake King.
We grow Wheat, Barley, Canola and Lupins mostly. We seed in April with a Case Steiger 485 tractor towing a 60 foot Morris air seeder bar and a trailing seed and fertiliser cart. Pre seeding we prepare machinery, paddocks and soil with stubble management, reefinating, weed control and paddock cleanups. After seeding we clean down and repair machinery as needed and also use a rock picking machine to clean up paddocks.
Our harvest begins around early to mid Nov when the Canola and conditions are ready. We use a Case 8230 harvester accompanied by a Case tractor towing 20 ton chaser bin.
At present we are a couple working together and would appreciate seasonal help with the workload.
We offer separate accommodation with private ensuites in a very well presented donga style building and another new kitchen and lounge area donga. All buildings have reverse cycle air conditioning provided.
